Keno: The Perfect Game for Bingo Players

If you are someone who plays bingo, online or in a bingo hall and looking for a game to play in a casino, then you should explore the game of Keno.

Keno is extremely similar to bingo, so there is no major learning process to it compared to the likes of Blackjack, or Craps. Craps can be one of the more complicated games to learn to the point that many live casinos offer crap lessons to teach new players how to roll those dice. With Blackjack, you need to follow a set strategy, and can actually upset your fellow players if you make the wrong move, as it affects them as well.

If you are a beginner gambler going to a casino in Las Vegas or similar and are familiar with the game of bingo, then the best games for you are Keno and slots.

Slots are very easy to play. They’re independent. You’re not affecting anyone else with the way you play. You simply sit and spin. It’s all calculated by the machine, so there is no real strategy to worry about when playing at a slot machine.

A lot of that applies to Keno as well, and if you are familiar with bingo then Keno will be right up your alley.

It is essentially the same game. You have a list of numbers. Balls are then pulled from a basket with numbers on them. If a certain amount of those numbered balls match up with the numbers that you have, then you win a prize. The more numbers that match, the more money that you will make. Often, to allow keno to be played around the clock, the numbers will be decided electronically and displayed on a digital board.

The primary difference when it comes to Keno and Bingo is based on the numbers, and how you actually win.

First – unlike bingo, you don’t win based on patterns. You won’t win money on Keno based on 2 lines, or the “T” shape.

Instead, you win based on the numbers that you have. If you have 10 numbers picked and 4 of those numbers come up, you will win a cash prize. If 7 of those numbers come up, you will win a larger prize.

Also unlike bingo, you aren’t given numbers. Instead, you select the numbers that you wish to play. It depends on the game but you can select between 1 and 10 numbers in most games of 40 or 80 ball keno. The more numbers you pick, the higher the potential payout but then the lower payout if you get just a few numbers.

For example, if you pick 3 numbers and all come up, you will get a much bigger prize than if you picked 10 numbers and only 3 come up.

Much like you can play multiple bingo cards at once, you can also play with multiple keno cards at once.

Also just like bingo, there is no actual strategy involved with the game of Keno. Whether you pick the numbers 1 through 8, or pick 8 random numbers – the chances of them all coming up are exactly the same.

Another difference from bingo is in regards to marking your numbers. You don’t mark them as they are called. Instead, you mark the numbers on the keno sheet beforehand and hand it to an employee at the casino along with your wager. They will then process that and provide you with a copy of your card, so you can see how you fare.

Much like with bingo, if you win then you are going to have to call over the attendant to check your card, and then pay you your winnings.

Some casinos might have different variations of keno, such as way tickets, combination tickets, and king tickets. The card will explain how those work, however, you don’t have to play those variations if you don’t want to.

If you’re a bingo player and looking to play some gambling games in Las Vegas, then Keno is an excellent choice to get started. It will ease you into gambling with a game that you are already very familiar with.
